Defined by Marion Heimlich for pottery found in the Guntersville Basin along the Tennessee River in northeastern Alabama.
This type has been found at both the Little Egypt site by David Hally and at the Etowah site by Adam King.
Brushing or incising with a toothed instrument on grit-tempered pottery.
Middle to Late Mississippian.
