This type was originally defined by David Phelps.
Perhaps related to the Wheeler Plain series of northern Alabama.
Name origin is uncertain.
Fiber-tempered plain.
Late Archaic.
Very late in the fiber tempered sequence, and probably equivalent to the Refuge Plain series on the Georgia Coast in time.
The Tallahassee area along the Florida Gulf Coast, and perhaps into southwestern Georgia.
