Background

Named after the lake on the Savannah River by Carl Miller.

This type is not much known, but presumably it represents the necks of Savannah period jars.

This type is essentially unknown and probably should not be reused.

Sorting Criteria

Cob marking on presumably grit-tempered pottery.

Chronological Range

Middle Mississippian Savannah period?

Geographical Range

Clark Hill Reservoir on central Savannah River.
